License Description MEDICAL ASSISTANTS SOC Code 31-9092 Entry Salary $14.63/hr Average Salary $17.37/hr Job Description Audiometric Technicians/Audiology Aides, under the supervision of a licensed audiologist, conduct fixed intensity air conduction screenings; perform automatic type tympanometry screening procedures following the specified screening protocols developed by the supervisor; carry out prescriptive aural rehabilitation programming; assist with informal documentation; keeping daily logs of screenings performed; perform checks on hearing aids and other assistive listening devices; clean hearing aids; instruct clients in the use of assistive listening devices; schedule activities, prepare charts, records, graphs, or otherwise display data; assist the supervisor in taking earmold impressions; perform simple checks and maintenance of equipment; and participate with supervisor in research projects, in-service training, and public relations programs. Requirements 1. Have a high school education or equivalent. 2. Supervision agreement executed by the applicant and the supervising licensee 3.
