License Description NURSING ASSISTANTS SOC Code 31-1014 Entry Salary $14.10/hour Median Salary $16.22/hour Job Description Medication Assistants-Certified are certified to, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provide medications to adult patients with chronic, stable conditions where predictable outcomes are expected from these interaction, as well as other tasks performed by certified nurse assistants. Tasks may include performing delegated tasks such as basic nursing skills, personal care skills, basic restorative skills, using communication skills and nursing team member skills, for clients in hospitals and Nursing Homes. Requirements 1. Meet qualifications for CNA II qualification, including completing board-approved CNA II training and competency evaluation program 2. Complete board-approved MAC training and competency evaluation program 3. Successfully pass a national MAC examination Restrictions Convicted of any act of sexual molestation. All applications are reviewed by the State Board for additional restrictions.
