Requirements 1. Must be a resident of Wyoming. 2. Must be 18 years of age or older. 3. Must be able to read and write English. 4. A $500 bond is required to be filed with the county clerk in the county where the notary public will be working. Restrictions Cannot be a convicted felon Schools located in Wyoming No formal education is required to become a notary public. License Anyone wishing to become a notary public must obtain a commission from the Wyoming Secretary of States office. Commissions are valid for four years. Examination No examination is required to become a notary public.
