MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICES MANAGERS SOC Code 11-9111 Entry Salary $36.68/hr Average Salary $49.96/hr Job Description Nursing home administrators develop, manage, and direct health care programs such as preventive medicine and staff training. Other duties include managing institution employees, overseeing building and/or equipment maintenance, and reviewing budgets and accounting procedures. Requirements 1. Possess as a minimum a college Bachelors degree. 2. Complete 500 hours administrator-in-training under the supervision of a licensed nursing home administrator. 3. .Every applicant for licensure shall have successfully completed a national written examination with a passing scaled score that is acceptable to the Board. 4. .All licenses previously held must be verified. 5. Two (2) letters of recommendation from professional associates, attesting to the applicants ability to perform as a Nursing Home Administrator; Restrictions Conviction of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude. Soliciting residents by any form of false, deceptive, or misleading communication including advertisements. Unprofessional or unethical conduct. Gross incompetence or malpractice. Knowingly submitting false information to the Board. Mental or physical incompetency as to render the licensee unable to perform with reasonable skill and safety. Incompetent or negligent practice. Intemperate use of alcohol or controlled substances. Violation of the Wyoming Controlled Substances Act. Violation of the statutes, rules and regulations of the Board. Violation of any state or federal law relating to operation or licensing of nursing homes or other health care facility. Fraud. Practice without a current license issued by the Board. Failing to exercise regard for the safety, health or life of a resident or acting in a manner inconsistent with the health or safety of a resident. Discrimination of residents, employees or staff on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin or handicap.
