PESTICIDE HANDLERS, SPRAYERS, AND APPLICATORS, VEGETATION SOC Code 37-3012 Entry Salary $13.69/hr Average Salary $19.10/hr Job Description Commercial Pesticide Applicators use or supervise the use of any pesticide (including those classified as restricted-use or highly toxic) when applied for contract or hire. Requirements 1. At least 18 years of age. 2. Must pass written exams given by Department of Agriculture. 3. Written exam must be passed by at least 70%. 4. In the event that applicant fails to pass the examination in first two tries, classes are required before a third attempt. 5. Must attend classes for recertification. 6. Certification may be reciprocated from another state. School Located in Wyoming Education is available through agriculture cooperative extension offices throughout the State.
