License Description Description of Occupation: A Dentist examines teeth and tissues of the mouth to diagnose and treat diseases or abnormalities. They take x-rays, place protective plastic shields on children's teeth, fill cavities, straighten or repair teeth, treat gum disease, and perform corrective surgery of the gums and supporting bones. Dentists may be general practitioners or they may specialize in one of the areas recognized by the American Dental Association.Requirements for Licsening: Any person is eligible to practice dentistry in the CNMI upon submision and approval by the Board of the following proof and documentation: proof of graduation from an accredited dental school or college, or proof of licensure and practice of dentistry in another state, territory, or jurisdiction of the US; proof of good moral character; three professional references.Examinations: Endorsement.
