Purpose To encourage graduate students working with insects or other arthropods in the broad areas of physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology to affiliate with ESA's Integrative Physiological and Molecular Insect Systems Section and to attend the ESA Annual Meeting or an International Congress of Entomology.
Focus Entomology.
Qualifications Applicants must be students who are using arthropods to study any aspect of basic or applied physiology, biochemistry or molecular biology in the broadest sense for their Master's or doctoral research; must be ESA student members; students from all science departments are encouraged to apply.
Criteria Selection will be based on enthusiasm and interest in attending the meeting; academic credentials; reasonable budget to attend meeting; topic or areas of thesis research; recommendations from colleagues, peer groups, etc.
Duration Annual.
Number of Awards 1 in 2020.
To Apply Applications must be submitted electronically; letters of nomination must be included in the electronic package, letter of recommendation may be included in the package or submitted via e-mail; printed letters will not be accepted; letters of recommendation cannot exceed two pages each; file formats must be PDF, RTF, TIF graphic files, or JPG graphic files; font size for text may not be smaller than 10 point; must provide a curriculum vitae; two letters of endorsement from professional colleagues and clientele.
