Purpose To support LGBTQ+ students pursuing degrees in music and music education.

Qualifications Applicants must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington but may study elsewhere; applicants are considered a resident of one of these states if they currently live within that state or have lived within that state for at least one year at any time within the last five years; applicants must be pursuing post-secondary education in the coming 2024-2025 school year; this includes community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate programs, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school, or graduate education.

To Apply Applicants must be submit online application form; previous Pride Foundation applicants should include information since their last application My transcript is not electronic A scanned copy of your transcript works great; Students with narrative transcripts should only include the latest document; transcripts are only required for folks from Washington who wish to be considered for GSBA’s scholarships; an Alaska, Idaho, Montana, or Oregon resident, this document is not required; text than that into the application; each essay has a maximum word length, generally from 250 to 500 words; Correct the error(s) and re-submit; A confirmation text screen will appear and an email notification with additional information will be sent; required materials for the application: 3 essays, which are described in more detail in the application itself; Resume – include: Work experience; School activities and honors; Extracurricular and community activities, including volunteer roles, arts, and/or activism; Academic transcript (official or unofficial) -required for Washington state residents only Optional materials you can include with your application: Academic transcript (official or unofficial) -optional for residents of Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska; A letter of recommendation; 1-2 writing or art samples.
