Purpose To assist graduate students with college education costs whose professional goals support the mission of the American Fisheries Society.
Focus Fisheries sciences/management.
Qualifications Applicants must be enrolled as a graduate student at any Idaho college or university on January 31 of the year the scholarship is awarded or are/or have been involved with the Idaho Chapter, including the student sub-units; have professional goals that support the mission of the American Fisheries Society.
Criteria Selection will be based on professional goals; course work completed; GPA; Idaho Chapter AFS Involvement; experiences that enhance the student as a professional; demonstrated examples of mentoring and inspiring the growth and development of fish and aquatic scientists.
Funds $2,000
Duration Annual.

To Apply Applicants must be submit online application form and obtain a copy of your college transcripts; identify a biology professor, faculty advisor, school administrator, or supervisor who will write your letter of recommendation; the letter of recommendation must be completed and submitted using the letter of recommendation form; a single letter of recommendation from a biology professor, faculty advisor, school administrator, or supervisor. If also applying for the Graduate Student Scholarship, submit one letter to meet the requirement for both scholarship applications.
