Purpose To provide funds to graduate students with genuine intellectual interests on Pre-Columbian/early Colonial or Mediterranean/Byzantine worlds or in Garden and Landscape history.
Focus Byzantine studies.
Qualifications Applicants must have completed all departmental requirements, (including course work, residence, general and preliminary examinations, and approval of the prospectus), before the application deadline.
Criteria Applications will be judged on the originality and solidity of their contribution to their field.

Duration Biennial; Two years.
Number of Awards Varies.
To Apply Applicants must be submitted through the online application program; Applicants must also upload an in-depth description of projected research travel or field work, three letters of recommendation (two of which should be from professors in their department at Harvard university and one of which should be from their dissertation supervisor, and graduate transcripts.
Deadline November 29.
