Award Type Scholarship
Purpose To provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding.
Focus Welding.
Qualifications Applicant must be full-time undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year degree in a welding or welding related program at an accredited university; all applicants must be eligibility requirements; a minimum of eighteen years of age; a minimum high school diploma; a minimum 2.5 overall grade point average; student must be enrolled full-time; a citizen of the United States and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States; priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending schools in the states of Ohio. (A resident is defined as having lived in the specific area for a minimum of one year.); however, persons who have received this award may reapply; the award will be presented to individuals nationwide; not have to be a member of the American Welding Society.
Criteria Recipients are selected based on financial need; priority will be given to individuals residing or attending schools in the state of Ohio.
Funds $6,000

To Apply Applicants must be submit an application form; required application information; register for a profile an email address you will still be able to access in 18 months; create an academic profile, which includes your personal statement and career objectives; find out which scholarships you are eligible for based on your academic profile and geographic location; provide references and any required documentation to complete your applications.
