Purpose To support Native American students pursuing post-secondary education.
Focus General studies/Field of study not specified.
Qualifications Applicant must be a member of a BIA federally recognized Native American tribe (and be able to prove enrollment); must be enrolled in an approved post-secondary educational institution; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA; must live in one of the following six counties: Placer, Nevada, Yuba, Sutter, Sacramento, or El Dorado.
Funds $5,000
Duration Semiannual; Fall and Spring.
Number of Awards 5-10.
To Apply Applicant must submit the completed application along with: a typed personal essay, not to exceed two pages; copy of official transcript; letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or advisor; proof of Native American heritage.
Deadline May 1; August 1.
