Purpose To honor the outstanding accomplishments of Ralph Modjeski, the Polish American Engineers Association has established the Ralph Modjeski Scholarship Fund.
Focus Architecture; Computer and information sciences; Engineering.
Qualifications Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Architecture in a university or college program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology; students attending colleges or universities in the states of IL, WI, IN and MI; students entering the junior year or above of their curriculum the following academic year (beginning the next fall); applicants must demonstrate excellent academic achievements as well as demonstrate commitment to engineering; previous scholarship recipients are not eligible.
Criteria Selection is based on academic performance, letters of recommendation, essay response, work experience, and involvement in community and other extracurricular activities. Preference will be given to applicant's of Polish descent and members of the PAEA or the immediate family of a member in good standing.
Duration Annual.
Number of Awards 2.
To Apply Applicants must complete the application form, available online, and submit along with: an official transcript, a 200-word letter describing the student's short and long term goals with any other information deemed pertinent; three references with addresses and telephone numbers.
Deadline May 30.
