Purpose To further students’ study of classics or classical archaeology with opportunities not available during the school year.
Focus Archeology; Classical studies.
Qualifications Applicants must be members of historically underrepresented ethnic and racial minority groups in the United States and Canada, for example, African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Native American/Inuit/First Nations, and Pacific Islander students; must be seeking to attend a summer program to further applicants' study of classics or classical archaeology.
Criteria Selection is based on: academic qualifications, including demonstrated ability in fields that prepare a student for further study in Classics or archaeology; the quality of their proposal; and financial need.
Funds $4,500
Duration Annual.
Number of Awards 3-4.
To Apply Applicants must complete the application form together with a letter of application describing the applicant's career goals and plans with a list of other programs applied to; must have an undergraduate transcript; must provide two letters of recommendation by a faculty member or other professionals who have worked with the applicant during the past two years (at least one must be an APA or AIA member); one-page summary of the projected or actual budget.
Deadline December 20.
