Purpose To encourage the entry of underrepresented ethnic librarians in the field and bring awareness to larger diversity issues.
Focus Library and archival sciences.
Qualifications Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada; must identify as Native American/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Middle Eastern/North African, and/or Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander; must attend an ALA-accredited graduate program in library and information studies or an AASL-recognized School Library Media Program in the upcoming fall semester on a full- or part-time basis; must maintain a minimum course load of two classes per semester while receiving your scholarship funds.

To Apply Applicant must submit: a completed online application (which includes a personal statement); three professional references (only references on the official online form will be accepted); official academic transcripts from the institution where applicant received their bachelor’s degree (and graduate transcripts if applicable).
