Purpose To provide German and American midcareer professionals and academics with the opportunity to travel across the Atlantic for three weeks to undertake independent research and meet with their counterparts to exchange best practices and foster professional and intellectual ties.
Focus Environmental law; Journalism.
Qualifications Applicant must be either a U.S. citizen living in the United States or a German citizen living in Germany; fellows must have completed a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and must be in the relatively early stages of their careers; the Hunt fellowship requires that you are in the final stages of pursuing or have recently completed a Ph.D.; Alumni are not eligible for a second fellowship; must be German citizens living and working in Berlin.
Funds $5,000
Duration Annual.
Number of Awards Varies.
To Apply Candidates must submit an application form, a cover letter, a three- to five-page project proposal, a current resume, and two letters of recommendation; fellows must submit a 4,000-word analytical report based on the research results they conducted. If fellows produce any additional materials; applications sent via email should be received; letters of recommendation may be sent separately.
