Award Type Scholarship
Purpose To assist law students in furthering their education.
Focus Law.
Qualifications Applicants must be AAJ Law Student Members who are entering their second or third year of law school.
Criteria Selection are given to applicants who: exhibit an interest and proficiency of skills in trial advocacy; express a desire to represent victims; demonstrate a commitment and dedication to AAJ mission through involvement in an AAJ student chapter and minority caucus activities; and show financial need.
Funds $3,000
Duration Annual.
To Apply Applicants must submit resume; 500-word essay on how the applicants will meet the criteria; up to three recommendations from a faculty adviser, trial advocacy professor, Dean, AAJ member, or trial lawyer; and a completed form verifying applicant's student status.
Deadline May 1.
