Purpose To aid in dissertation research in British Studies using the collections of the library.
Focus History.
Qualifications Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents; must be enrolled in a PhD program in a U.S. or Canadian institution; the time of fellowship tenure must be spent in residence at the Huntington Library.
Criteria Selection is based on merit and importance of research.
Funds $3,000
Duration Annually.

To Apply Application must be submitted electronically; applications should consist of a curriculum vitae, a description of the dissertation research project, and two supporting letters (one from the applicant's dissertation advisor); the letters should include a description of the materials to be consulted at the Huntington and the reason that these are essential sources for the dissertation; letters of recommendation should be submitted; copy of the application package must be sent to each member of the Huntington Library Fellowship Committee; a copy of the c.v. and the description of the dissertation project should be sent electronically(as a single WORD or PDF file).
