Purpose To support licensed amateur radio operators pursuing postsecondary education in the fields of communications and/or communications technology, electrical/RF engineering, and cybertechnology.
Focus Communications; Engineering, Electrical; Technology.
Qualifications Applicant must be an active, licensed amateur radio operator; must be a resident of Maryland (unless no qualified applicant from Maryland is found, then applicants from Virginia, Delaware, and the District of Columbia will be considered); must be attending an accredited postsecondary institution and pursuing a degree in communications, communications technology, electrical/RF engineering, and cybertechnology.
Criteria The ARRL Foundation Scholarship Committee will review all applicants and make selections. Preference is given to applicants who show evidence of demonstrated activity within the several amateur emergency communications programs such as MARS, ARES, and RACES
