Purpose To support minority students seeking to acquire education and career in the field of osteopathic medicine.
Focus Medicine, Osteopathic.
Qualifications Applicant must be an African American, Native American, Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian, mainland Puerto Rican, or Hispanic American student in good academic standing and must meet one of the following
Criteria Selection shall be based on the following criteria; Ideas in the essay are presented with proposed actions; ideas in the essay are innovative or have an innovative component; Essay contains a good discussion of the significance of the ideas; proposed actions are feasible; Applicant has a willingness to help promote osteopathic medicine to underrepresented minorities.

To Apply Applications are available online for both new and continuing students. For continuing students: submit the Application form; a signed verification form from your Student Affairs Officer; a double-spaced, 750-word (maximum) essay with your name and page number at the top of each page. For new students: submit copy of the acceptance letter from the college of osteopathic medicine where you plan to attend in the fall of current year; a double-spaced, 750-word (maximum) essay with your name and page number at the top of each page. Essay prompts are available on the website.
