Purpose To provide financial assistance for African American students pursuing their college education.
Focus Creative writing; Economics; Journalism; Public administration.
Qualifications Applicant must be an African American female enrolled in their sophomore or junior year at an accredited college or university; must be majoring in journalism, economics, or a related field (such as public policy, creative writing, etc.); must have a cumulative minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale; must be a U.S. citizen.
Duration Annual.

To Apply Applicants must complete the scholarship application online and submit along with an unofficial transcript, a letter of recommendation, and a 1,000-word essay on their career plans and their relevance to the Dr. Julianne Malveaux Program.
Deadline April 1.
