Award Type Scholarship
Purpose To support students of color in their pursuit of higher education and future career choices.
Focus Performing arts; Visual arts.
Qualifications Applicants must be students of color (African American, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander) attending a non-profit public or private college/university; must be majoring in Fine Arts including all visual and performing art forms; must be Kent County residents; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA; and must have a financial need.
Criteria Selection will be based on the Foundation's criteria.
Duration Annual.
To Apply Applicants must complete the following: general online application; list of awards, volunteer activities, employment/school extracurricular activities; academic transcript from most recent semester (high school students: must include first semester senior year). Must provide a personal essay that includes: reasons for choice of college, chosen course of study, career goals, plans for financing education, and information on past activities benefitting the community.
