Find resources in your area to help with your job search. 

There is free job search help available to you in your local area. Some services are offered in person, while others are online, or phone-based. Contact the sources for details and how to access services. 

Find an American Job Center in your local area.

American Job Centers (AJCs) provide free job search help to the public. They have computers, printers, and phones available for job search use. Many AJCs present job search workshops and help finding job training and other assistance. They offer employment programs for veterans, youth, and persons who have a disability. There are nearly 2,300 AJCs nationwide. Find your nearest AJC and contact them to learn how they can help you.

Find out about job fairs, workshops, and job clubs in your area.

Free job fairs are sponsored by your state and local workforce development groups. They’re a great way to meet employers, share your resume and explore openings. Choose your state on the State Resource Finder, and select “Job fairs and workshops” under the Job Search tab.

Find public libraries near you.

Public libraries offer a wide range of job search information and services. Your local library might offer resume writing assistance, free computer access, a job club, or other help. This tool shows the libraries closest to your search location, address, directions, and phone number.
